Julep Zoe w/ Rachel's Folly {A Franken by Laurie} on top

Today I am sharing with you the lovely Julep Zoe and the gorgeous franken my friend Laurie made for me called "Rachel's Folly". I told her that I really really wanted China Glaze Spellbound {you can see pics of that HERE} so she whipped up a beautiful franken for me that may just be better than the real thing! Laurie even named it after moi since it was somewhat of a "custom" franken! I love Laurie, she is a master frankeness!!! I have a bunch of her lovely frankens and I look forward to all the new ones she has to share! I used Rachel' Folly over 2 coats of Julep Zoe. Zoe is a metallic burnt orange and it is stunning! I plan on wearing the one again on it's own sometime this fall! It is a prefect Fall color, reminds me of the fiery leaves on the trees as they start to turn. What you see below is 2 coats of Zoe and 2 coats of Rachel's Folly! I love the combo! What about you? Do you have CG Spellbound? China Glaze Near Dark w/ It's Alive on top!

I am feeing better today! Thanks to all my lovely FB, Blogger and real life friends that gave me support and love! I am back today with 2 of the polishes from China Glazes 2011 Halloween Collection~Haunting. I used Near Dark first. ND is a jellyish forest green...the first coat was a streaky mess and I usually get serious anxiety from this kind of polish. The second coat went on much smoother, I could have used 3 full coats but I decided instead to just touch up the edges where the polish had not become fully opaque yet. I ended up really LOVING the end result! ND was deep and glossy and just lovely and despite the somewhat minor application issues, I can see myself using this one on it's own again! I added 1 coat of It's Alive, a swampy green  glitter with micro and hex glitter. IA has a base similar in color to Near Dark as well! I love the look of these two layered, it is such an appropriate combo for Halloween! enjoy! xoxoxo~Rach

Orly~Goth

I am in the Halloween spirit today! I used Orly Goth and I ended up loving it so much, I had to pull myself together and do a blog post so all my sweets could see just how amazing this polish is! Goth is a pure black creme with silver glitter throughout. What I like about this polish is that the black is a "true" black and very pigmented and the silver is sort of suspended throughout the polish, not just laying on top or getting lost. The silver glitter adds just enough depth to make it very interesting and eye catching. Goth went on in 2 perfect coats and the application was excellent! I can see myself reaching for this polish again and again! I think I may need to buy a back-up bottle! enjoy! XOXOXO~Rach

Ozotic Pro 528! Gorgeous!!!!

Halloween Nail Spooktacular~ MAC Vintage Vamp

I got this beauty from a friend in my facebook group! I think this fits the Halloween theme very well! Vintage Vamp is a deep, wine red with brown undertones! It reminds me of my beloved Chanel Vamp {the original}! I am not sure I am in love with this...the formula was thin and streaky and I had to use 4 coats for full opacity! I think it looks very pretty on me though! It was pain to clean up so I am not sure I will be reaching for this again any time soon! Also, I changed the format of my pics a bit, only showing 3 fingers instead of 4...I could never get my pointer AND pink to cooperate at the same time so I just decided the pointer could be left out! I also changed the angle that I took the pics at! Do you guys notice a difference good or bad?? xoxoxo~Rach

Illamasqua Phallic with Golden Rose Scale Effect on top!

So if you remember, my favorite polish brand is Illamasqua! I love their formula....it is the BEST formula of any polish I have ever used. There colors are deep and rich and never boring. I have been wanting to use Phallic~ a deep, shimmery navy blue~ for awhile now. It was sooo gorgeous and rich and happy going on that I almost didn't want to put the Golden Rose on top! I am so glad I decided to....Golden Rose Scale Effect is a gorgeous blue, breen and copper flakie topper! I got this polish from my lovely friend Kati in the Netherlands! She rocks! I think this resembles Deborah Lippmann Across The Universe. I know it is not the SAME but the coloring is! Whatcha think???? gorgeous no???? enjoy~! XOXOXO~Rach

Halloween Nail Spooktacular~ China Glaze Mummy May I

Hello my sweets! Thanks for all the lovely comments on my Breast Cancer awareness mani! I love you all! Today I have one of the 2010 China Glaze Awakening polishes to share with you! This one I was particularly excited about because it is PURPLE.....my favorite polish color! Mummy May I is a dark purple jelly base with purple glitter and it is gorgeous! I really love this one! Pink Wednesday~ Breast Cancer Awareness Mani

So I am going to take a break from the Spooktacular Nail Polish posts {well i only did one so far!} and post my Pink Wednesday / Breast Cancer Awareness mani that I did for my lovely friend who has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She is an amazing woman, so loving and kind and she deserves nothing but happiness.  I hope this mani lifts her spirits even if for just a few moments. It literally took me like 2 hours to complete this since I really am no good at nail art! Remember to check your boobies my sweets and get an annual  exam or mammogram {of you are over 40 or have a high family risk of female cancers}.XOXOXO

Halloween Nail Spooktacular! Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice

hello my sweets! I LOVE HALLOWEEN! It is by far my most favorite holiday of them all! I bought so many "Halloween" and "Fall" polishes in anticipation of this month! I am going to try and show you ALL of them! Today I have Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice! First of all, I wanted it just for the name alone!  I am a pumpkin connoisseur....so anything with the name "Pumpkin Spice" must be mine! I layered PS over Color Club Rebel Spirit....a very rich dark brown! I know most everyone layers it over black but I thought the brown gave it just bot more depth :) I have so many lovely Halloween and Fall polishes I want to show you I cannot wait! I might even get brave and attempt some nail art! eeek!  enjoy! xoxoxo~Rach

Color Club Foiled Collection

Today I have the entire Color Club Foiled collection to share with you! I picked up the Foiled as well as the Boho set from my Ross for a super duper price! I normally do not buy ALL of any collection because I just can't see spending the extra money on a polish I don't really like just for the sake if having the entire complete collection! I am VERY impressed with Color Club....they have a wonderful formula for such a low price point....all of these were easy to apply and opaque in 2 coats! The formula is like a very small glass fleck....similar to the Zoya Sunshine Collection. I think the glass fleck particles are smaller in the Zoya's meaning they leave quite a LOT of little tiny sparkles around your nails...the clean up was much less messy with the Color Clubs! I am LOVING Color Club....I really want to add more to my collection! Enjoy!~Rach 

{ Perfect Mol-Ten } Silvery Sea Foam green....I like this one! If It were perfect it would be about 2 shades darker though!

                                                                    

{ Antiquated } Warm silvery Champagne. I like this a lot more than I was expecting to like it! It has a very warm, yummy feeling to it

{ Hot Like Lava } Dark silvery pink. I LOVE this one! I am a sucker for dark and not usually a big pink fan but this one won my heart!

{ Lumin Ice-Cent } Silvery cool blue. I usually love blue and I do like this one, just not as much as the others.

{ Foil Me Once } Light silvery pink. This is my other least favorite of the collection. It's just to pale for me!

{ Cold Metal }  Shimmery dark blue. This one is my favorite! I love the depth of the blue on this one....reminds me of a deep dark cold pool of icy water!

My ONLY complaint with the sets I bought at Ross are the fact that the bottles are not labeled with the polish names! They are listed on the little insert in side the box but I NEED my polishes to have names on the BOTTLE. I guess I will have to go ahead and write the names on some little round stickers and label them myself! Sheesh! LOL

Cult Nails~ In A Trance with Hypnotize Me on top!

Hello my sweets! Today I have for you a lovely layered mani courtesy of Cult Nails! Cult Nails is a relatively new brand and it is one of my favorites! The formula on their polishes is stellar, I have heard it compared to Rescue Beauty Lounge {which is considered by many in the polish world to be the creme de la creme of formulas} I bought the entire Hypnotic collection when is came out....these are 2 of the polishes from that collection. In A Trance is a shimmery mossy green creme that goes on beautifully in 2 coats! I wish I had taken some pics of it on it's own but I was so excited to get the sparkles on top I forgot! Hypnotize Me is a blue and green micro glitter in a jelly-ish base. I think this color combo is pretty unique {the blue/green sparkles layered over the mossy green base} what do you guys think? enjoy! xoxoxo~Rach

Essence Twins~ Bonnie & Clyde!

I have for you today another of the Essence Nail Art Twins sets...this one is Bonnie and Clyde. Bonnie is a really unique deep teal blue creme....Clyde is the glitter topper with teal micro glitter  and large SQUARE holographic glitter pieces! This is such a gorgeous combo....I love it! I have to say that the formula on these Essence Twins are absolutely amazing! The pictures you see here are actually three whole days of wear! Do you see how amazingly this mani lasted! Essence Twins are not available in the US...I got mine from my lovely friend Ruth in Spain! enjoy! xoxoxo~Rach
