~Natalie's Nails~

Hello!!! It's been a long long while since I have done a post on my daughters nail art! Her name is Natalie and I call the feature, Natalie's Nails. Natalie is 14 and she does some pretty sweet nail art! This time she used 3 polishes to create a Nailside-esque look on her nails. I think she did a terrific job freehanding this design with a nail art brush! To create this look she used Essie Armed And Ready and Essence Colour and Go in What Do You Think? and You Belong To Me. I would love to make this a weekly feature but I have to get her to cooperate with this! She is such a "only when I feel like it" kinda girl! Give her some love to let her know you would like to see some more of her nail art!!!! Enjoy! XOXOXO~Rach

Nubar Reclaim

Today I have the stunning Nubar Reclaim to show you. Reclaim is a "grass" green holographic polish. I picked up Reclaim last Summer and this is the first time I have worn it! I don't know what took me so long because I am in love with this polish! I think I may need a back up bottle. The formula is amazing on this one, I did not experience and of the "dragging" or bald spots that are typical of linear holo polishes. I ended up with three coats just because I loved applying it so much and when it comes to holo, you can never have too much in my opinion! My only complaint is that Nubar does not make any more linear holo polish! Enjoy! XOXOXO~Rach

Catrice Forget-Me-Not!

My lovely friend Kati from the Netherlands sends me the best polishes! She sent me this beauty in our first swap package last summer. She sent me lots of gorgeous purples! She knows I am a purple fanatic :) Forget Me Not in an intense "electric" purple full of shimmery goodness. It has some very fine silver micro glitter which gives it such an amazing shine and intensity. The application was great, I did two coats but was so enamoured with it, I ended up being greedy and went for three! I LOVE the brushes on Catrice, they are the perfect size and shape and they really help you apply the polish flawlessly. Forget Me Not is being discontinued so if you have a chance to pick it up, you should! Enjoy! xoxoxo~Rach

OPI Fly and Save Me {Nicki Minaj}

Today I have the lovely Fly from the OPI Nicki Minaj collection. I was dying to get my hands on these! Fly is a teal creme, it leans more towards the blue side and it bright but not neon. The formula was a bit thinner than I expected but it went on beautifully and was opaque in 2 easy coats! This is one of those colors that I just adore, it's got enough pop to be eye catching but not in an in-your-face kind of way. The first two pics are of Fly alone then last pic I topped it with the glitter Save Me. Save Me is a mirco and bar glitter that is really pretty over Fly....i love the way it transforms Fly into this shimmery look. What do you think? Do you have any of the OPI Nicki Minaj polishes? Do you love them? Enjoy! xoxoxo~Rach

Ozotic 507...a Quickie

I just wanted to pop in and say Happy New Year!!! My first mani of the New Year was Ozotic 507 {layered over Orly Liquid Vinyl}. Although this polish looked amazing and held such promise, I have to say I was not in love with it like I thought I would be. It is VERY PRETTY, just not for me I guess! I ended up making a swap deal with my dear friend Clausdia for something more my speed. But I wanted to go ahead and share the ONE pic that came out of all the ones I took of her.....enjoy! XOXOXO~Rach

OK I fibbed, I did get one more pic, it's not up to par IMO but I guess I will share it anyway!

China Glaze Blue Years Eve

Well today is New Years Eve so I decided it would be appropriate to use China Glaze's Blue Years Eve! I pretty much love all blue polish and this one looked so pretty in the bottle I had to have it. I was a bit disappointed with the texture of this one, it was jellyish and squishy and took 3 coats to get full opacity. I was expecting it to be like Glittering Garland but it wasn't. I actually got so frustrated during the application I almost stopped and took it off! I am glad I left it on because it really is gorgeous so I think it was worth the aggravation. I topped it with Love & Beauty's "Navy" which is a blue micro glitter with large silver hex glitter. I am not sure how much I am digging the glitter top coat though, although it does feel very festive...kinda like confetti on my nails. Happy New Years Eve everyone, I hope 2012 brings Prosperity, Health and Happiness to all of you! xoxoxo~Rach

Here it is on it's own

and here it is with the glitter top coat

I have absolutely fell in LOVE with this polish, I wore it for almost 3 whole days so that should tell you something. GG is an evergreen jelly base packed with greenish gold glitter/glass flecks. The color is deep and mesmerizing, I could not stop staring at my nails. Application was perfect, no dragging or anything. This is part of the 2011 Holiday collection so if you have not picked it up yet....do it now!!! enjoy! xoxoxo~Rach

Golden Rose Matte Velvet #107

I received this polish from my dear friend Kati who lives in the Netherlands. She always picks out such amazing polishes for me! This time she surprised me with the purple beauty....Golden Rose Matte Velvet #107. I wish Golden Rose would name their polishes instead of just giving them numbers but that does not make this polish any less gorgeous! The formula was amazing on this...so smooth and easy to apply. The finish is different from the OPI Suedes and the Mattes, it has a ton of micro shimmer in it, I know it would look spectacular with a top coat! Thank-you Kati for sending me this beauty! enjoy! xoxoxo~rach
